Project Activities:

GoldGen includes a comprehensive set of activities designed to support seniors, adult educators, and local communities in developing sustainability awareness, circular economy knowledge, and digital competences. Through collaboration across six European countries, the project combines research, innovation, training, and dissemination.

1. Research and Needs Analysis

The partnership will conduct research to identify the educational needs, barriers, motivations, and learning preferences of senior citizens in each participating country. This evidence-based approach ensures that all project outputs respond to real needs and reflect diverse European contexts.

Based on the research findings, partners will design a structured European training curriculum focused on sustainability, circular economy practices, digital inclusion, and active ageing. The curriculum will be adapted to the needs of older learners and adult education professionals.

GoldGen will develop an interactive online learning environment offering accessible, user-friendly, and multilingual educational content. The platform will allow seniors to learn at their own pace while strengthening confidence in digital tools and online participation.

The project will produce practical guides, exercises, video resources, toolkits, and trainer materials that support both seniors and adult educators. All materials will follow inclusive design principles and remain openly accessible.

Partners will organise local pilot workshops where seniors and educators test the curriculum and digital platform. Feedback from participants will help improve the tools and ensure strong usability, relevance, and educational quality.

GoldGen will provide capacity-building opportunities for trainers and organisations working with older adults. These activities will strengthen teaching methods related to sustainability, digital literacy, and learner-centred adult education.

Throughout the project, partners will organise awareness campaigns, events, and networking activities to share results with stakeholders, communities, policymakers, and education providers. These actions will maximise visibility and long-term impact across Europe.
